Feasibility to promote COD eliminating results in aerator lagoons of West Azarbaijan

General problem (problem):

The efficiency of COD elimination in aerator lagoons in compared with active ooze process is low and output effluent of these processes are according to environmental standards considering evacuation to the surface water. The growth of algae causes suspended solids; COD and BOD are increased in effluent of these lagoons.

Causes and necessity of project:

The severity of environmental standards, the lack of water resources and the necessity to reuse effluent, effluent quality improve of these refineries (sewage treatment) are considered necessary.

Expected results and goals:

-  To increase COD eliminating efficiency  in effluent

-  To reach environmental standards considering evacuation to the surface water

-  To promote output affluent applying the least facility and constructing changes in sewage treatment which include aerator lagoons processes
